Sad news for DeadDrop in Oxford

Posted on May 30, 2013

I was making some plans for adding my Dead Drop contribution in Oxford and I figured that I would take a look at the Dead Drop that already exists in Oxford. After a quick search I found the Oxford location on the Dead Drop Database, which is at 51.75420 N 1.25309 W.

However when I arrived at the location I saw this sad sight…

A hole in the wall. :(

When I put up my Dead Drop memory stick I’ll be sure to use something more sturdy and solid than glue gun liquid (I’m guessing that is what the clear substance is). It’s a shame because I was looking forward to seeing what was on that USB key.

C Food Diet

Posted on Apr 18, 2013

Next week I will be attempting another one of my 101 Things in 1001 Days list. That challenge is 79) Spend a week eating only food that begin with a single letter of the alphabet, with my choice of letter.

And that choice of letter will be C.

After briefly thinking about foods that begin with different letters I feel that C gives me a nice balance of nutrition and tasty foods. There are two things to keep in mind whilst spending from Monday 22nd April to Sunday 28th April eating nothing but C foods.

Firstly these foods cannot be meals that consist of different foods. For example “chilli con carne” is not allowed because it consists of beef, kidney beans, and so on. One food type that is allowed is food that may have different names depending on where you’re from. For example if I was eating A foods and I came across an eggplant (the American name) I could eat it because it is also known as an aubergine.

Lastly I am not limited with what I drink. So I can drink a cup of tea with my chicken breast. Which is a food thing too because I’m attending a cheese and wine quiz next Saturday.

So for the next week I can imagine that my meals will go something like this:

Breakfast: cornflakes
Lunch: cucumbers and carrots
Dinner: chicken and corn

Rinse and repeat.

I probably should keep a food diary of what I eat during that week. Maybe I’ll take a picture and stick it on Instagram. That seems to be the thing to do.

ze-tarts:

Done doing these so here they all are in one place! Fully Dressed Redesigns of Superheroines.

Point of this: An exercise in character design, attempting to clothe the heroines nearly all the way and not making them painted-on, while still keeping the look of their original costumes in some way.  Hopefully keeping them looking as iconic as the originally were. Just showing what can be done with a costume breaking outside the barrier of the norm.

NOT the point of this: some moral code I’m trying to push on you

Sorry if there was a character you wanted me to do that I didn’t get to!
